LEONA VALLEY, Los Angeles County — The Leona Valley Improvement Association has posted a retrospective of the community’s 53rd Cherry Parade & Festival in 2026, held under the theme “Stars & Stripes & Cherry Delights.”
The local nonprofit describes the parade as a longstanding community celebration featuring homemade floats, equestrian participants, vintage cars and local organizations. According to the association, the tradition began in 1972 and continued annually until the interruption in 2020. The festival also supports vendors offering crafts, food and other goods.
A local tradition, not a future event listing
The association’s 2026 highlights reflect an event that has already taken place. They should not be confused with a confirmed date or announced schedule for the next festival. Residents interested in participating as vendors or volunteers in a future parade can contact the Leona Valley Improvement Association and watch for its new application materials.
The association maintains a community building at 8367 Elizabeth Lake Road. This annual tradition illustrates how smaller communities preserve local identity through volunteer organizing and agriculture-linked celebrations.
